Center to include Visiting Nurse Association, CentraState Medical Center, VNACJ Community Health Center and Rutgers RWJ Medical School

FREEHOLD, NJ – SFC Enterprises is proud to announce that they are nearing completion on their latest project, the Freehold Medical Arts Complex. This 25,000 square foot facility located at 597 Park Avenue in the Borough of Freehold will be affiliated with and include medical services from the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, CentraState Medical Center, VNACJ Community Health Center and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

“I’m incredibly passionate about projects that benefit the community,” says owner and developer, Sal Cannizzaro. “Having the opportunity to develop and be a part of this comprehensive healthcare project which will make a difference in many ways to the community is an honor that I’m eminently grateful for.”

This multipurpose center and its strategically picked location helps ensure that the services offered will be convenient to those who would benefit most from them. The Freehold Medical Arts Complex will contain a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Primary Care, academic offices for the Rutgers RWJ Medical School Family Medicine Residency Program at CentraState, and the administrative offices of VNA Health Group: Children and Family Health Institute. The building, previously a local supermarket, was purchased in early 2018 and has undergone extensive exterior and site improvements.

The Medical Arts Complex will be subdivided into three main sections. One area will serve as the administrative offices for the VNA Children and Family Health Institute’s Headquarters and include a large women, infant and children (WIC) nutrition counseling center. The second area will provide comprehensive primary and preventive health care services for all age groups in addition to prenatal care, podiatry, behavioral health, nutrition and diabetic education, which will all be operated by the VNACJ Community Health Center in partnership with Rutgers RWJ Family Medicine Residency at CentraState.

The FQHC will have approximately 15 exam rooms, a procedure room, laboratory, private rooms for counseling, a large conference room, and a community room. The third area will provide offices for the Rutgers RWJ Medical School Academic Faculty.

The Freehold Medical Arts Complex is scheduled to open in February 2019. Sal Cannizzaro and the team at SFC Enterprises are delighted to look toward the future and longevity of this much needed community project.
